HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The Local Network for Education is the result of a series of recurring initiatives, which since 2016 have sought to be implemented in the Municipality of Cuba, bringing together an increasingly broad group of entities in the municipality, which, informally, articulate with each other to the offer, for example, of leisure activities for young people during school breaks, but not only.
MOTIVATION
The motivation that leads to the creation of the Network results from a set of previous working groups where it became clear the urgent need to change and innovate in the educational process of the youngest, updating the current educational model to a more modern one, capable of preparing students. young people for the present and future, and empowering them to overcome the most pressing challenges of today's society.
WHY A NETWORK?
Only with networking will it be possible to mobilize the most important local resources (human, natural, cultural, heritage, intergenerational, among others) giving an effective response: to the main interests of young people; your educational needs; and the main challenges facing society; providing families with solutions for positive occupation of their students' free time.

WHAT IS THE NETWORK THEN?
It is a cooperation structure, filed, open to the free participation of all entities, public or private, and representatives of civil society, based or acting in the Municipality of Cuba, aiming at the development and animation of a community educational ecosystem (community of learning).
HOW DOES THE NETWORK WORK?
Capitalizing and articulating the resources of its members (human, social, cultural, heritage, natural, technical, material, traditional, among others) as teaching and learning tools, responding to the main interests of young people, their educational needs and the main challenges of society.
WHAT IS SPARKSEEDS?
SparkSEEDs [Empowering Youth Learning Communities] is the name of the Project, financed under the Erasmus + Youth in Action Program of the European Union, which came to embody the idea of creating a network and concretely consolidating a true Learning Community in the Municipality of Cuba.
NETWORK OBJECTIVES
STRENGTHENING AND STRENGTHENING THE CONNECTION BETWEEN COMMUNITY AGENTS
a) Reinforce and strengthen the connection between the different heads of the local educational community and / or other entities considered convenient in pursuing the objectives of the Network, and institutions with direct competences in the education sector, such as the Municipality of Cuba and the institutions of education and training of the Municipality of Cuba;
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
ALL PEOPLE AND ENTITIES, PUBLIC OR PRIVATE, WITH ACTION IN THE COUNTY OF CUBA CAN PARTICIPATE.
Membership in the Network, which can take place at any time, is entirely voluntary and is effective through the granting of the Network's Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.
